| Trying to put together something to learn this game and this is what i came up with
Brother-Captain w/NFW -61 pts
PAGK x5-150 pts
PAGK x 5-150 pts
Dread w/AC, Missle Launcher, Smoke, Extra Armor-128
total=499
or
Brother-Captain w/NFW and hammerhand-71 pts
PAGK x 8-227 pts (Justicar w/frag and targeter)
PAGK x 7-202 pts (Justicar w/frag and targeter)
Just 500 points so it won't be much but a learning tool

| If you're going to have only missile weapons (i.e. no dreadnought close combat weapon), then you probably don't need extra armour. | |

| I don't really like all ranged dreadnoughts. It makes them one dimensional. I can choose to deal with it, but it doesn't have to be a priority. A dreadnought with a CCW can crush vehicles easily. It can also single shot kill pretty much any non-Eternal Warrior HQ in the game.
I take a dreadnought with a CCW and march it toward my opponent's line. They have little choice but to deal with it. At 500, (which you will quickly breeze past I can assure you) you need the dreadnought to play a dual role, and the CCW allows him to do so. | |

| ALWAYS keep a hand to hand weapon on a dreadnought. unless its just something you want for modeling purposes and don't care about play... I must admit I have several units I wanted but would never field unless its just for funzies. | |

| I agree. On a standard dreadnought I prefer a CCW and either a multi-melta or assault cannon. My favorite is the multi-melta so it can crack open a vehicle and then charge its soft squishy innards as the troops disembark. | |

| This is the army I play. If I can tell you one thing about the Grey Knights, it's they are definitely an in-your-face army. There's a reason they are equipped w/storm bolters. Assault, Assault, and when in doubt, Assault some more. Not many things can stand up to GK in HtH. After playing with Lascannons on my landraider for a while, I decided no more. Crusader it is and hope my opponent enjoys the goods inside. Grand Master and seven of his closest friends. | |
