New xenos player looking for some bullies.

Hello all,

My name is Eldon Cowgur and I'm looking for a gaming group.

After collecting and painting Warhammer 40k minis ( Sporadically. ) for the past 2 years, I have decided it is about time to start playing the game. While I have read through the 5th edition rules several times, I have no practical experience with them. Some patience and coaching would be much appreciated.

I'm wrapping up the last couple of units for my Tau army ( A large amount of the army is currently painted, the rest primed. ) Haven't counted recently, but I can probably match most of the popular point values. So, let me know what you prefer to play at. Also, are there any regular game nights or should I post in the "schedule a game section?"

I will probably start looking to arrange a game by the end of January/beginning of February.

If anybody is willing to trade, I have half a Black Reach box of Marines and a battleforce box of Necrons to swap for either Orks, Tau, or even Warmachine minis ( Cygnar, or perhaps Khador/ Cryx. )

You can always get a game up at Warpig if you're in the Bentonville area. It's right down the road in Centerton. There are a lot of 40k players at CHG in Fayetteville that always enjoy playing as well.

I'm sure you can find any number of folks to game with at warpig in centerton since it looks as that is the closest locale for you. I know big d would be glad to teach the game pretty much any Saturday. Fridays are always busy there too, so just post a time you might like to get one in and I'm sure you'll find a willing opponent.

Welcome aboard! Have some Tyranids and hopefully a revamped Grey Knights army in the near future to test your mettle.
After the Shiloh Slaughter in a couple of weekends, it will be time to start assembling the forces for the Independence Day Massacre, which will be the local 2 day 40k event.

Wow, thanks for the info! I had no idea there was a place to play in Centerton! Actually drove by it today to confirm the location. Beats lugging everything to Fayetteville!

Ha, I don't think my little blue commies are ready for competitive play just yet, but I will try to get them up to speed asap. There are some heavy support units to build first. Also, I haven't even created my first army list.

If weather and work permits, I will stop by the shop this Saturday.

I tried to stop by the old TSE location last Saturday to buy some models, but found it was closed. Where is your new location?

At the corner of White Road and Elm Springs Road in Springdale. If you go from the old shop. Travel north to the stop light at Elm Springs Road. Turn Right, I am down the road on the left hand side about a mile or mile and a half. If you enter the 'S' Curve you have gone to far. We are kind of katy-cornered from Eureka Pizza.
