TSE Slo-Gro 40K League

Come one, Come all see the brand spankin new thingamajig called 40K 6th Edition. TSE will be hosting a slo-gro league here at the shop. Everyone is invited to come and join us. The purpose of this league is to show the newer players a thing or two about the whatchamacallits in this here game system. It will also help us older than dirt players learn what all the new rules for 6th ed is…are….oh who cares about grammar. You do not have to play or attend each week unless you just want to, just make it whenever you can manage to mosey (is that correct spellin?) on up here. The league will start Saturday July 28th and will consist of 4 two week rounds with the last round being a bit longer ona account of that squirrely tournament know in these here parts as RockWars. You can play anyone you wish, but in order for it to count for your league points it must be against another league opponent.
There is no entry fee for this here league, but we do have some shinny stuff in the back to give away each round to those who participate in our league. In addition to all that goodness we are going to host a league ending store tournament free of charge to all of those who have earned more than 12 points during the course of the league. You can join the league at anytime, but note the quicker you join the better your chance to earn points and get prizes.
The league will be using wysiwyg in all games. If you don’t know what wysiwyg is, don’t feel bad we often have to explain things to the staff around here as well. Just ask someone up at the shop or someone who has played the game for a while. If you don’t have a model to represent something, then you ain’t allowed to use it. No proxies. Learning to play with what you have helps you appreciate all of those nice toys that you want to get some day. Possibly before the next round.
** Please note that whatever army you start the league with, you must finish the league with.
** Be sure to bring your army list, dice, tape measure, army and other assorted goodies each time you come to play.
** You can use any of the store terrain for your games.
Round 1 – (July 28th – August 10th)
• 500 point Standard Force Organization Chart
• 45 minute game time limit
• A Maximum of 5 games during this round
• Games will be randomly selected out of book
Round 2 – (August 11th – August 24th)
• 750 point Standard Force Organization Chart
• 60 minute game time limit
• A Maximum of 5 games during this round
• Games will be randomly selected out of book
Round 3 – (August 25th – September 7th)
• 1000 point Standard Force Organization Chart
• 75 minute game time limit
• A Maximum of 5 games during this round
• Games will be played using supplied scenarios
Round 4 – (September 8th – September 28th)
• 1250 point Standard Force Organization Chart
• 90 minute game time limit
• A Maximum of 5 games during this round
• Games will be played using supplied scenarios
End of League Tournament September 29th.
Scoring
• Playing a slow grow game at TSE 1 pts
• Army at that level has at least one more unit painted at
end then it started with 2 pts
• Bad Game given by judge -1 pt
Starting with week two of the first round you may purchase additional units for your army from TSE with a discount equal to the number of points that you have acquired. Discount is only for models for that current army. Allies not included.
