| New to this site but not the area. Been playing GW stuff since 93 when the Skaven got thier first book. Currently have 3 armies for fantasy(Skaven, Lizards, Warriors of Chaos) and 1 for 40k(Daemonhunters).
Been playing some at Castle House Games, formerly Gallery of Champion Cards. They have moved to a new location in the Evelyn Hills shopping center. They have three permanent tables in the massive 4700sqft of space the store has to offer. No more being cramped like sardines. So far most of the action as far as Warhammer goes has been on Sundays. However the tables are open and available whenever. On a side note, I will be running some Star Wars Minis events on Friday nights if you so choose to participate.
Looking forward to some great gaming with you folks.
EDIT: split to new topic - Cpn

| Welcome VL. I should see you this Sunday. I'm thinking I'll probably bring 500 pts of Eldar for our 'non-league learning league', instead of my IG. | |

| I do have to work every other weekend, so I won't be able to make it this weekend. I will be there the following weekend on Sunday. And depending on what the woman has in store, if Dennis is open, will try to show up there for some games on Sat. If you would like to set up a game, let me know. | |

There are no such things as Rat Men!......Are there? Someone's been playing too much WHFRP Now THAT statement is almost a declaration of a flame war.... There is no such thing as too much WHFRP! By the way, anybody see anything of WHFRP 3rd Edition? From what I have seen, it is not looking good; from my point of view. Dice pools, ability cards, let's all get on the ability card bandwagon..... I like to roleplay but I like my different systems to remain just that... different. No intended dig against D&D 4E was meant. I like WHFRP and Dark Heresy just as they are. I do like what I have seen of Rogue Trader so far.

| Well, given that the entire bout of speculation about WFRP 3rd is based on a single blog post by Graham McNeil, I think I'll wait until GenCon before I worry too much about it. Especially since Graham says "I’m liking what Jay has done with the game, and there’s a clear desire to make it fit properly with the Warhammer World, where a lot of the previous edition’s books, with the best will in the world, just didn’t."
That makes me think there's a possibility that he's pulling our leg a bit, as the RPG books have a reputation for perfectly capturing the Warhammer world, both in 1st and 2nd editions.
We'll see for sure when GenCon rolls around.

| I love WFRP! I don't know how anything could capture the feel more correctly! Let me know if you see any news or hear rumors on any new addition. That is certainly blog worthy! | |

Agreed. I'm really like WFRP and DH. They are just great systems.

| If there is an upcoming 3rd edition, the announcement will most likely be made at GenCon. They've already indicated that they will have at least one major announcement there, and this could be it. | |

| The FFG guys also let slip on 40k radio that the space marine RPG ala dark heresy and rogue trader would be coming out next year in time for the next GEN CON. That could also be their announcement they plan to make official.
Spess Mareen fan boyz will flip!

| I heard that podcast too, and that may be the announcement, but they've been saying all along that they were going to complete the trilogy of 40K RPGs as originally planned by Black Industries, so it would have been a bigger surprise for the Space Marine game to not be the next one out in the 40K line. The only new information would be the schedule, which is no longer new due to the 40K Radio podcast I think it's more likely that the GenCon announcement will be Fantasy related, but I wouldn't put money on it either way. | |
