| HT has a sign up sheet in store. I didn't ask the entry fee or prize support - I'll try to find out this week. The tournament is 1850 points, if you are interested. | |

I think bsimon has put his name on it. Myself and themcfadden are hoping to attend it as well.

| Nothing is posted, so I would say just bring 4 copies of your list on the day of. One for you, 1 for each opponent. | |

BIG D is now playing. His plans that made him cancel attending the tournament were in turn canceled. Please leave him up on the list.

| Good luck to all tomorrow. If you aren't burned out after a day of battles and want to get a league game in (and are in the B'ville/Centerton area) Sunday afternoon, let me know. | |

| While on the assumption train, i'd assume the following:
-bring 4 copies of your army list (Doubt you'll need a 5th for the organizer) -bring a piece or two of terrain if possible -BYO Lunch -there will be prize support for 1-3rd and a favorite army (player's vote)

| I love the way that DC eat through units. For the tournament I wanted to try an Astorath/numerous DC units list: My list was: Astorath 5 Death Company, power weapon, Chaplain w/ combimelta, Rhino (x3 units) 10 man assault squad, fist, melta (rhino) 10 man scout squad DC dred in a pod Baal predator, heavy bolters X2 I had 6 troops choices, and if I combat squaded I could have 4 scoring units. The list works okay but I am nowhere near satisfied with it. Nothing stood up to the 5 man DC squads w/ chappy's, but the problem was their rage once they killed their first unit. Even though they chased things down and beat on things, not having control of them past the initial wiping they dished out was a bummer. Then the DC drednought with his rage and hatred for drop pods, he had the same problem. My DC dred w/ blood talons spent all three games beating on armor 11 or 12 and doing nothing since he couldnt move away from them. If you have to play angels just remember use a cheap transport to bait DC dreds...... All in all, I had one good game where I seized initiative and the 3 units of DC destroyed 1/2 of an army in a turn. In the other 2 games I tried to use the reserves trick w/ blood angels and rolled poorly. When the DC came on they did very little beyond killing their first target. I won one game, and tied the other 2! I had fun with the list, but am changing it up to only include one unit of death company 9 strong, led by a chaplain in a rhino and I am dropping the DC dred altogether. With only one unit of DC, astorath is pointless, so I'm going to try Mephiston instead. I've played 7 games now with a blood talon dreadnought and he has shined in only one of those games and been a disappointment in 4. I don't consider that to be a good return on him - so he is benched | |
