Caslte House Games has been resurrected!

Hi all;

We will be re-opening Castle House Games very soon! This news is almost as sudden for me as the closure was. We will be re-opening at a different location in Fayetteville, in Oak Plaza right next door to Taco Shack. Four or five other eating establishments are within 100 yards or so. Harps is just across the road, also.

We will primarily be stocking Magic The Gathering at first, and getting new stock as we can afford to. I am sure everyone can understand that with our present economy. We literally just have to start back from the ground up, but soon we will have a satisfactory amount of product on the walls. The U of A is right next door as well, and we have 4 U of A bus stops nearby.

I will post again as soon as we have a solid opening date. I should be able to get the keys and start moving in this week.

I still have my personal gaming tables that I will try to fit in the shop. I believe I will have enough room. I also still have all the terrain that was at the old location, as I paid for most of it myself. I hope to soon have table top gaming in the shop, space permitting. I am sure I will be able to fit at least one or two gaming tables there.

I appreciate everyone's support in the past and I hope to see everyone at the new location after we open!

I lived right by there last year. I now live behind the old location. Sadness. But this is very excellent news! It is good to hear you are doing well!

That is correct, Bane. I talked to one of the owners of RBC named Alan and he said that all of the Magic players were sad to see what happened (me too) and that all of them said I was the nicest guy (WHAT was he SMOKING??) ( JUST KIDDING! ) and that they all missed the old Castle House Games.

He agreed that we could leave flyers in each others' shops for any events and that we definitely both benefit from cross traffic. He does sell Magic, but he was not concerned that there would be any sort of problems between us.

So it looks like the trails are clear between us and RBC. With his illness; I just have not had the time to talk to Brian at TSE about what was happening. Warpig Wil; I haven't seen in a while but it is a trip for me to Centerton. I am sure Wil and I will be ok as we were before when CHG was open.

With Shannon at Gamer Utopia, he and I have never had any issues too big to forgive and forget; so I am sure he and I are good as well.

BEARS by the Maul; I just don't recall the players that run that place. But Boogie has talked to them and things are fine with them and us as well.

Thanks Cpt. T. They do have some shops to play Magic, but we had a core loyal group that enjoyed the atmosphere and high level of competition at CHG. The players miss that excitement and camaraderie we had going at CHG and we were looking forward to some good time for both the shop and the players this summer.

Sadly, my health issue cropped up and not only was opportunity lost but the shop just had to be closed for several reasons, as well.

The new place is just poppin' and rockin', be sure to stop by and at least have a look at our new place as soon as everyone can.
