Adepticon registration

The registration is up. This is probably the last year I have free to go for atleast 4 years. I am going to go. I will be driving, and am accepting anyone who wants to ride up with me and/or split a hotel room.

Here is what I plan on attending and its cost.


General badge: 40 dollars
Thursday: I dont plan on going to anything.
Friday: Warhammer 40K Championships (30 dollars)
Saturday: If we can get 4 people, I'd do team. If not, I plan on doing a combat patrol (15 dollars) team would be 30 a person
Sunday: I'll probably be watching the finals. I may try and do gladiator (25)

Comes out to 85$ if I dont do gladiator. The hotel is 114 a night.

Just a heads up, most of the workshops are worth going to also.

Thursday - Kick off Warmachine tourney
Friday - GT
Saturday - Team Tourney or Combat Patrol
Sunday - If in the Invite only play in that, otherwise start the drive home.

I'll be registering for the con (not games) in the coming weeks, but unsure if i'll be actually going yet.

Just got an email saying that there are only 10 team slots left.

If we could get 2 more, we could actually make a team. It looks like it would be a lot of fun.

Shawn, Do you know when hotel reservation begins? I was looking at the web site and I don't think it is available yet.

I have Friday a basing class, then Malifaux qualifier 1 that night, Sat malifaux qualifier, and Sun Puppet Wars multiplayer tournament.

Adepticon is dumb. Everything worth doing is already sold out. I was considering going, but I guess this makes it an easier decision unless bdix bought me in this morning.

I had fun last year just doing some small events and hanging out.

Oh damn that was fast for the big events.

Wow. It sold out in a day. I checked last night and saw 110 spots left open for the championship. I was going to buy mine this weekend. Any other fun spring GTs?

Here is a list of possible GTs I would go to instead. I looked for the ones that are close enough to not break the bank and far enough from BOLS con.

The Battle for Stones River- Tennessee in February 560 miles, 8 hours 52 slots

The Kalm Before the Waaagh- Huntsville, Alabama in April 531 miles, 8 hours 60 slots

Nash Con- Franklin, Tennessee in may 525, 8 hours 40 slots

Astronomi-con Dallas in February 333 miles, 5 hours 60 slots

The list is pretty disappointing. I'd like to go to atleast one of them though. The Dallas one looks promising considering how close it is.

One last update. You can be placed on the waiting list to get into the GT. I did so. I also put Eric on the wait list. I have you down to play Grey Knights. I read online that there is almost a 100 percent chance of getting in if you get on it now. I am not paying for anything until I get in the GT though. Also, the hotel booking seems insane. It is already booked out, with a chance of getting more rooms. If I end up going, I am going to stay in a different hotel.

I had a friend that walked up the day of the event and got in so their are a lot of drop outs.

I got an email sometime this week saying that they expect a ton of drop outs. Me and Eric are number 6 and 7 on the wait list right now, so I expect to get in.

Just a heads up, I also put myself on the waitlist for team Lord of the Rings. I just reread them and now I have to play this game. Also, it is on Saturday when nothing else is happening. If anyone wants to play with me, I will pay the full cost.
