| Looking at all the close GTs and the timing of them, adepticon seems like an event I would want to go to. It fall during a time when there are no other events, plus it looks like a lot of fun. If anyone wants to go, we would probably have to start making plans this fall. | |

| I would definitely like to go. It's an easier time for me to away from work as well. One of it's only issues is that it is an odd distance to drive and a fairly expensive flight. Plus model carrying can be complicated. | |

| Chicago is bad Arse on top of adepticon itself. I may be able to get us a deal on hotels. I will try and talk my friend who works at holiday inn into going. | |

| April 19th-22nd. $119 dollars a night if we stayed at the hotel. I can't find a price for the event. It probably isn't up yet. | |

| I'm down to go again next year, if there is a group. This years was an amazing trip, only topped by WGC which was more about the people. The event isn't just the big tourneys (the 40k championship and the 40k team championship). They have a ton of workshops, and demo's going on of other games. They also have tourneys for other games (Warhammer Fantasy, Epic 40k, blood bowl, Warmachine/Hordes, Malifaux, and Flames of War) going on the entire weekend. For a idea how big the event was, they had 2 rooms as big as the nwa convention center, and 2 rooms that were bigger than the room for IDM.
I don't recall the exact prices for anything, but it seems like the championship qualifier on friday was like 50-80 bucks, and the team tourney was like 150 (for all 4 players i think.) The fantasy and flames of war stuff were about the same, and the warmachine/hordes events were like 40-50 i think. Workshops started @ 25 bucks, and went up depending on what the shop covered and did(painting workshops were more.)
The venders area was 5 major booths, and 4 minors. The majors were battlefoam, Galeforce 9, Cool mini or not, forgeworld / black library, and Armorcast. The minors were 2 local game shops (i think), Geeknation Tours, and blue table painting. Outside the 40k room there was also a vendor setup for 24/4 sales. They had a good selection of40k, fantasy, PP, and Wyrd game materials, and a ton of used model bins for people to scrounge through. | |

| I wish there were a good GT that was close during the fall. The only one saw was in IL in September, and it only had 30 total spots. | |
