Turn 1: Team good wins the roll off and takes the first turn. During the movement phase, the forces of light advance in the middle and on the far flank from the village. Their magic phase started by attempting to cast Wyssan's Wildform on the Knights of the Realm, but was shut down by the level 4 Tzeentch sorcerer. Next the high elf mage in a house attempted to conjure Penumbral Pendulum. Sensing things were becoming more dangerous, the renegade skink priest opened the Cube of Darkness to stop the spell and end the magic phase. Moving to the shooting phase, Nuln's finest loaded the cannons and took aim at Archaon and the warriors across from the village. The gun masters of Nuln had perfected their aim, but had made a miscalculation on the distance and ended 2 to 4 inches short on all of their shots. In the middle of the battlefield, one of the miscalculations cost a volley gun crew their life as the machine backfired. But, all was not lost as the Dwarf cannon fired and struck the hellcannon. Rolling a 6 for the number of wounds, the Dwarfs obliterated their evil cousins and their daemon machine. The turn ended as the elves fired their bolt throwers into the minotaurs, killing three.

Out of range for any charges, the forces of chaos marched forward except for a unit of Khorne marauders whose blood lust was too strong to contain. Overcome by frenzy the marauders rushed out but failed their charge. Moving to the magic phase, the renegade priest leeched power from the herdstone shard to cast Iceshard Blizzard on the knights of the realm followed by Harmonic Convergence on the warriors of Tzeentch. Next, one of the beastmen shamans attempted to cast The Enfeebling Foe on the knights before Teclis stepped forward to block the foul-beast's spell. Seeking revenge for the insult, the Nurgle sorcerer cast Magnificent Buboes on Teclis, who did nothing to stop it. Next, Archaon attempted to Flickering Fire a large block of high elves with spears, but was stopped by the grand mage. Angered, Archaon attempted to open the Infernal Gateway, but was surprised when the spell was dispelled. Archaon then forgot how to cast the spell. Lastly, the level 4 Tzeentch sorcerer attempted Pandaemonium, only to have it blocked by Teclis. Not to be outdone the Tzeentch sorcerer threw 6 dice to cast Infernal Gateway with Irresistible Force on the knights of the realm. After killing a couple knights, the sorcerer used his puppet to change his own fate and avoid damaging himself. With the lose of the hellcannon the forces of chaos had lost their shooting, but did use the power of the warshrines to give Khazrak's gor unit +1 leadership, the chosen of Tzeentch +1 toughness, and the warriors of Tzeentch +1 armour save.

Turn 2: Valiant and brave the knights of the realm charged into the warriors of Tzeentch. Inner circle knights lead by Luther Huss lost a man while charging forward into a unit of skinks as the war alter followed their que and strode unharmed into the other unit of skinks. All the while, a unit of Dwarf miners tunneled up behind the herdstone shard and two very surprised wizards. In an attempt to out maneuver Archaon, the sword masters of Hoeth and a unit of inner circle knights moved from the safety of the village walls. On the far flank the Dwarfs positioned themselves to take a possible charge from multiple targets. Shifting to the magic phase, the winds of magic began to blow against the forces of light as the mighty empire wizard and high elf mage lost concentration after failing to successfully cast their first spells. This left Teclis to finish the magic phase by casting Flesh to Stone on the large block of spear elves. Unable to stop the grand mage, Teclis was healed a wound by the attribute of Life Magic. As the shooting phase started teh Empire commanders began to think that treason may be afoot. Again the cannon crews fell short by 2 to 4 inches in all of their targets. The mortar crews managed to kill a few Khorne and Nurgle marauders that were closing in on Teclis, but could not break their ranks. In the village the hellblaster volley gun downed 5 warriors of Tzeentch. On the far flank, the Dwarfs caused the hounds of chaos to retreat under fire by killing 2 dogs. Hoping for better luck in the combat phase, the good guys started with the knights of the realm. Though they were able to slay many warriors with their lances, the warriors of Tzeentch held against the charge while killing a knight in return. Luther Huss and his knights and the war alter ran over the skinks with no resistance at all.

Knowing the time was right, Archaon unleashed his hounds on the cannon crew behind the village wall, while he and the swords of chaos moved forward into the large block of Elf spearmen. Following the dark lords orders, the remaining minotaurs attempted to charge the ellyrian reavers, but stumbled on their own feet as snake eyes was rolled! Infused with the power of the Gods, the chosen of Tzeentch charged into the flagellants to reward them the doom they seek. The stegadon lowered its head as it lumbered forward toward the huntsmen, who fled and were trampled under the feet of the massive beast. In the middle, the knights of Khorne attempted a charge against Bugman and his boys, but they fled leaving the knights exposed to the steam tank. the warshrine and saurus warriors charged Luther Huss and his knights. Not wanting to disappoint their masters the hounds on the far flank rallied. The remaining forces lined up for the next wave of charges. In the magic phase the renegade skink priest started it off again by overpowering Teclis to cast Iceshard Blizzard on the knights of the realm again, which was followed by another successful cast of Harmonic Convergence on the warriors of Tzeentch. To secure the destruction of the knights the beast shaman attempted to cast Melkoth's Mystifying Miasma, but was stopped by the stronger empire wizard. Next, the level 2 Tzeentch sorcerer attempted Pandaemonium, but was also blocked by the empire wizard. He then cast Treason of Tzeentch on the unit of inner circle knights in the village with resistance, but the knights could not pierce their own armour. Moving to the more powerful level 4 Tzeentch sorcerer, the sorcerer cast Treason of Tzeentch on Bugman and his boys with Irresistible Force. This time the weapons were able to hit their mark, and killed a rank of Dwarfs. Again the wizards puppet protected him from the daemons lurking in the winds. Lastly the sorcerer attempted Pandaemonium before being stopped by a high elf mage. In the combat phase Archaon challenged the champion of the spear elf unit, and quickly beheaded him. The elves were unable to penetrate the unholy armour of the swords of chaos. In return the swords were only able to kill 6 of the unusually tough elves. Being steadfast the noble elves stood their ground against the Lord of the End Times. On the right of Archaon his hounds had broken the cannon crew and ran them off the battlefield. In the middle, the chosen of Tzeentch murdered 8 flagellants, but paid a large price when the doom sayers wounded the level 4 Tzeentch sorcerer twice. To their left the warriors of Tzeentch felled 3 more knights of the realm. This left only the lord, damsel, and BSB, but the three were brave of heart and stood their ground. Next to them, Luther Huss and his knights battled and won. This lead to the saurus warriors fleeing from the warrior priest, and leaving the warshrine to fight alone.

Turn3: With their backs against the wall, the forces of order knew it was now or never. The war alter charged into the fight with the warriors of Tzeentch to save their Bretonnian brothers. The steam tank powered up and rolled into the Khorne knights. The Dwarf miners charged the rear of the warshrine. At the village, the sword masters ran forward into the warriors of Khorne as the inner circle knights charged into the exposed flank of the swords of chaos. In the movement phase the forces of good re-aligned in order to counter charge in the next turn. Turning to the magic phase the winds shifted direction for the forces of light. Using the sacred book of Hoeth, the elf mage cast The Enfeebling Foe on the warriors of Khorne with double 6's, but avoided the realm of chaos on a roll of a 5. Next, the elf mage cast Okkam's Mindrazor on the block of spear elves with double 5's. Continuing with the trend, Teclis cast Dwellers Below on the Khorne marauders killing 9 before casting Flesh to Stone on the spear elves again. Lastly, Teclis' apprentice cast Vaul's Unmaking with Irresistible Force. Using the ancient Elf magic the mage destroyed Archaon's Slayer of Kings sword. Unfortunately it came with a price as the apprentice was sucked into the realm of chaos. In the shooting phase the Nurgle and Khorne marauders continued to be shelled by Empire mortar fire as open targets became more scarce. Moving to combat the sword masters of Hoeth chopped down 6 warriors of Khorne as the weakened warriors struggled to wound the elves on 4's. Losing, the warriors of Khorne managed to stand their ground with the presence of Archaon near. Against the strength 8 spear elves the remaining 7 swords of chaos fell, forcing Archaon to withdraw and escape the pursing elves. Severely wounded, the level 4 Tzeentch sorcerer and the chosen quickly finished the remaining flagellants. To their left, the warriors of Tzeentch wounded the Bretonnian battle standard and killed the damsel, and forced the two to flee as the warriors held to battle the war alter. Lastly, Luther Huss and the miners destroyed the warshrine, and toppled the evil idol.

Knowing the battle was on the line Khazrak and his gors attempted a charge against Teclis and his bodyguards, but failed to make it on a roll of a 3. The Nurgle marauders attempted a charge on the elf unit to Teclis' left, but also failed when a 4 was rolled. This blocked the Khorne marauders and saurus warriors. On the far flank another unit of Khorne marauders charged a unit of dwarf warriors, while a gor chariot and marauder horsemen unit charged the other unit of dwarf warriors. After the charges, Archaon and the saurus warriors in the middle were able to rally and reposition themselves for next turn. The only movement was the ungor unit positioning to charge the steam tank, and the chaos hounds came back to the battlefield behind the hellblaster volley gun. In the magic phase the renegade priest failed to overpower Teclis a second time and was stopped for the time. The beast shaman knew that Khazrak's unit was vulnerable and cast Okkam's Mindrazor on the unit with Irresistible Force to dis-way any future charges. The Nurgle sorcerer with a vendetta attempted to cast Magnificent Buboes on Teclis again, but could not overpower the supreme mage. In an attempt to get his revenge, Archaon cast Flickering Fire on the spear elves killing 2. Moving to combat saw the sword masters slaying another 6 khorne warriors as they tried to adapt to their weakened state. With Archaon's presence they were again able to hold fast. In the middle the warriors of Tzeentch failed to destroy the war alter as they prepared for a charge by Luther Huss and his knights. To their right the chosen of Tzeentch fought with unbridled fury as they destroyed almost two ranks worth of Bugman's boys. Breaking the unit the chosen ran down the dwarf unit. On the far flank the rest of the Dwarfs held firm as they killed the marauder horsemen and gor chariot as their neighboring dwarf unit held strong against the Khorne marauders after losing 6 brothers.

Turn 4: Embolden by the turn of events the dragon princes lead by a noble charged the Nurgle marauders who fled, and lead to a redirect into a saurus warriors unit with an oldblood. In the middle, Luther Huss lead his knights into the flank of the Tzeentch warriors and the steam tank barreled into the saurus warriors. On the far flank, the dwarf warriors charged into the fray against the Khorne marauders. With no movement they moved into the magic phase. With so few targets the magic phase culminated in casting The Purple Sun of Xereus towards Archaon. Unable to dispel the vortex, the purple sun passed over Archaon who passed his initiative test on a 4. In the furry of battle the shooting phase was skipped by accident as they moved to the combat phase. In the middle the warriors of Tzeentch battled to survive and was able to hold their ground against Luther Huss, the knights, and war alter. On the far flank the tide started to shift with the new charge. Killing 8 Khorne marauders, the combined power of the two Dwarf units forced the marauders to pass a break test on snake eyes...which the marauders did. In front of the village the dragon princes were infused with the power of Khaine as they slew 6 saurus warriors, while receiving no wounds in return. Despite being steadfast the saurus realized they were defeated and fled. The dragon princes ran the traitors down with ease.

For the last turn Khazrak attempted to save some grace by charging into Teclis, but rolled snake eyes and failed to reach the great mage once again. On the far flank the ungors charged into the steam tank to get revenge on the world of Man. With no movement phase, the magic phase began. Beaten, the forces of chaos could not muster the magical force to overcome Teclis this turn as the only spell cast was Flickering Fire on the trebuchet. In the combat phase the Dwarfs on the far flank slayed enough Khorne marauders to break their ranks. In the middle the story was the same as the warriors of Tzeentch finally broke under the foot of Luther Huss and fled to their deaths.
