| 1. This is a free escalation league that will track participants scores throughout the period of 8 weeks. If you would like to play and are not on the list, you may be added at any time during the league by simply posting in the League Participants Thread. This is the perfect opportunity to slowly build up that army you have been wanting and an even better opportunity to get your army and list into fighting shape for the local Patriot Games GT. 2. The league will begin on Thursday, April 1st and end on Wednesday, June 2nd. 3. Starting on April 1st, each participating player may play up to three league games per week. These must be using the same army every time, but you will be able to change your lists between any games. The scores you earn for the week will be averaged, and your scores must be reported here in a timely manner. The HoW encourage you to play and build an 'all comers' list since a varied field of opponents is what you should expect in tournament play, including Patriot Games. 4. Force Organization Requirements will change every 2 weeks, as will the points total. This will culminate with patriot games where a winner will be announced. April 1st - 850 points - Up to 6 troops and 2 HQs (you must have 2 troops and an HQ). Dedicated transports and Retinues may be taken freely. No Models with 4 or more wounds may be fielded, no vehicles with an armor of greater than 12 may be fielded, and no 'special characters' April 15th - 1100 points - Up to 6 troops, and 2 HQ's (you must have 2 troops and an HQ). Additionally, any army may field up to one choice from each of fast, elite, and heavy slots. No vehicled with an armor value greater that 13 is allowed. No 'Special Characters'. No models with 5 or more wounds. April 29th - 1350 points - Standard Force organization, but no more than 2 selections from each of Elite, Fast or Heavy. May 13th - 1600 points - Standard Force organization May 27th - 1850 points - Standard Force organization June 2nd - Last day to post scores! 5. You may play any opponent, but for the score to count you will have to post the results here. Also an opponent must be a forum registered user and must be signed up under the opponents thread. If they aren't signed up, go ahead and play them but just get them to sign up before the end of the week. Feel free to arrange games here and to pick on new and different players. The HoW will try to make rounds to T-shirt and Castle House during the league. 6. An example of scoring can be seen in the Stickied Scoring Thread. As you can see there are more points potentially to earn in later higher points games. 7. The winner will be announced at Patriot Games and T-shirt explosion will be providing a prize. 8. Wildeyedjester and Warhammerworld are not elgible to win this league, but are both available to play against any time! 9. I will do my best to post a scenario each week as I lock previous scoring threads. In some cases I may open a new thread so you can see the scenario, but keep it locked until gaming begins! Did I miss anything? There is still time to change things if you see problems or want it changed. This is a league for fun so I tried to structure small games where they would remain competitive with small points values!

Is this a 'true' troops choice only or can you use units that 'count' as troop choices due to your HQ choice?
Some HQ's allow 'elites', 'fast' and 'heavies' in as troop choices. Basically I just want a clarification so we don't have an issue with RAR or RAI by the league.

| Under certain circumstances other slots may be taken as troops - usually this stems from a special character, but special characters are not allowed for the first few weeks. However, if something counts as troops it is indeed allowed.
Another example though, might be the new scouts rule in the 'leak' (possibly bogus). Their special rule allows them to count as scoring but does nothing to make them troops and they are bought out of elite. They would not be allowed for the first two weeks.

| For the first list you state no units with more than 4 wounds per model. On list 2 you state none with 5 or more.
These both mean none over 4.
So is this correct or did you want to allow 5 wound models in list 2? Or were you going for 3 then 4?
Sorry, just wanted to make sure its clear. :-)

| Your biggest examples for "taken as troops" for this league will be Ork Nobs and the Tervigon.
I'd say it's RAI to keep your initial list out of the core troops, not elite/heavy/etc that can be taken as troops choices.

| Tervigon would not be able to be taken as a troop selection early on because it has 4 or more wounds (it has a pain in my arse 6 wounds). | |

| How strict will we be on WYSIWYG? Most of my models are geared for 1500+ games, in games of a smaller size I would most likely have to change their load out a bit in order to keep them effective. | |

| I don't think Wysiwyg is as important in the first few games of the league. The goal here is just to have fun and build up a new army or expand an existing one. Just make sure your opponent knows that the dude without the melta doesn't actually have one at the beginning of the game...... However, making paper stand ups is not acceptable for 40k - I'm talking to you Big D. | |

| Paper stand-ups? Oh my. I would think that is a totally unacceptable form of proxying. Lol
So units "counting as troops" are fine then?

So units "counting as troops" are fine then? Yes, these units would take one of your 6 troops, and fill one of your 2 required troops slots. An example: In a later game week, where models with more than 4 wounds are allowed, A nid player could take a unit of termagants and a tervigon as troops. The tervigon (normally an HQ) now 'counts as troops' since there is another unit of termagants in his list. These 2 units together fulfills the requirements of the force organization chart for troops. However the Nid player must now buy another HQ since the tervigon has relinquished his HQ position to be 'counted as troops'.

| Come on man, I wouldn't think a fellow nid player would stoop to such lengths. Save the debauchery for the Marines, IG and Eldar. | |

| What do you mean? "Coke bottle carnifex" is practically a byword for "unreasonable proxy"! Or are coke bottles OK, since they're three dimensional? If so I might be able to start that 'nid army after all... | |
