How Score Reporting Will Work

1. You may play up to three games a week. Your Scores for each week will be averaged into a spread sheet off the main Hogs of War page (www.thehogsofwar.com). Any games beyond three in a week will not be counted. This will allow you to play up to three games but not penalize you if you don't!

2. A win will be worth 10 points, a Tie 7 points, and a loss 5 points. Weekly scenarios will be put up on the forum here, and will also be where you report your scores.

3. You will also determine how many victory points you earned in each game and report it here (Note this is NOT kill points - Victory points are in the back of the main rulebook). If you played a 1250 point game and tabled your opponent you will report that you earned 1250 victory points. This will converted via advanced math to move the decimal place two places to the left - 1250 would become 12.5 points (dividing by 100).

4. So if you won your game and tabled your opponent in an early 1250 game you earned 22.5 points. If you lost a game but tabled your opponent in a big 1850 point game you would earn (4 points for loss, and 18.5 points for VP) 22.5 points.

5. This score system will reward you even if you lost the game because an enemy grabbed a last turn objective, but you had all but wiped him out. Not only will you be playing to win, but you will be playing to kill your opponents stuff.

6. Scores must be reported here in the forum in the following easy format by one of the two participating players:

Self Win/Loss/Tie Victory Points Earned
Opponent Win/Loss/Tie Victory Points Earned

7. A game week will begin on Friday April 2nd, and each league week will then run Friday to Thursday. Each weeks games must be reported by the Thursday of that week. (Why Thursday? Most games are done on Friday/Saturday/Sunday and I don't want to break that up into 2 separate weeks). Again, each weeks scores must be in by Thursday. The weeks thread will become locked shorty thereafter to prevent more scores from being added.

8. We will work on the honesty and integrity system, but your opponents must be registered users of the forum for a league game to count. If you want to play someone - go ahead and get the game in, but you will have to get them to register and get added to the league roster for your game to count if they are not already on board.

9. At the end of 8 weeks the lowest weeks score for all playes will be dropped. This will give you a 'bye' week, also if you can't get a game in.

Clear as mud? That is pretty much it! I will be posting the rules pretty soon and I will try to post the first weeks scenario early so you can play around with it.

Half way through the league. Scores are very near each other. Remember that the lowest week will be dropped. Many of the top players are less than .25 points apart.
