| Former player from the Fort Smith area trying to get back into the gaming scene. I have about 3000 points of Bretonnians I haven't played in 5 years and 2k points of Blood Angels that I have never played. so i am a little rusty to say the least. I'm looking to kick a bad World of Warcraft habit, start playing again and drag a friend in with me.
Since the gaming store in Fort Smith closed some years back I haven't been able to find a steady local game so I'm thinking of making the trip to NWA to play a couple times a month.

| There are some guys in the FS area that have their own place to play, a garage or shed or something.
Feel free to come up to NWA; Hobby Town is closed now but T-Shirt Explosion is open and Castle House Games is open late Thursday and Friday nights; as well as being open Saturday all day and Sunday until around 6 pm.

| What nights are people usually playing? I'd like to come up and watch a game or two before I dig my stuff out of the attic. I think I have the latest fantasy book, but I think my 40k rulebook and codex are outdated. | |

| New Fantasy book come out soon. There will be many changes.
At CHG there are people playing mainly Thursday and Friday night. Pay attention to the Schedule A Game thread to see when people are going to be playing where before you come up. There is a lot of Fantasy being played at TSE in Springdale, not so much at CHG. CHG does a LOT of 40K.
We have some regulars that would be glad to play a small game with you; give PhantomPhoenix a PM and he can play a game on Thursday nights unless he gets a new job. He works at CHG on Friday nights and he is busier than a one legged man in a butt-kicking contest so he can't play Friday night. Saturday he games with me in Dark Heresy, usually.

Great. Two new rulebooks to buy. I would assume new Fantasy Army books will be right behind it. I was just trying to get into 40k when the store in Ft Smith went away, so that is probably the one I will start with. I don't want to learn the Fantasy rules all over again just to have to it again in month or two. I assume your store keeps a 40k book or two on-hand?

| Welcome to the board Kragg.

Do I know you from Fort Smith? I used to play at Mystic Domain a lot .... but I guess that is showing my age.

I played at Mystic Domain a time or two in their old location. I was just a kid then though. If I knew you then I doubt I could remember that. Mystic Domain where they are now still swears people play there. I tried several times a few years ago to catch a game happening, but never did.

| They told you people play at Crazy Earl's ? Last time I was in there they had nothing in the 'room' where mystic domain used to be. The only product I saw was age old white dwarfs and outdated codices stacked in crazy earl's.
Mystic was a good store when it was there and was the only store in the state of arkansas I have ever seen that carried all GW products. When it changed locations to over by the river they completely lost their supporting customer element and quickly went under.

| I haven't been by there lately, but they did tell me that a year or so ago. I noticed a lot of dust on what little stock they had. There were several people that played at Fortress Games while it was open, but I haven't seen a game played at Mystic since they were off Grand. | |

That is CHG's current goal. We just need more supporters for the effort. I am sure everyone is doing what they can.

| Welcome to the boards.
There is a small store on South Greenwood Avenue called "Hog Head Comics" that is working on setting up a place to do wargaming, so I'd stop in there if you get the chance and talk to the owner. Here's the google maps of the place Hog Head Comics Fort Smith . I live in Fort Smith and play alot of Warmachine but unfortunately I don't do 40k yet (Will some day, just not yet).

| Well, I made it up to CHG last night and picked up a codex and rulebook. So, hopefully I will be ready to play in a few weeks. | |

| Woot!
Sorry I missed you but both me and my wife have been pretty sick since November. She needed me to come on home; just for some moral support if nothing else.
