Hey everyone!
Drake Con is on tomorrow at the Hammond Center/Embasy Suites in Rogers, Arkansas! The doors open up at 12PM and don't close till Sunday! The game room is open all the convention non-stop! We will have all kinds of really cool games and demos going on, and any open tables will be fair game (no pun intended) for people to play at! I especially want to give a shout out of thanks to The Hogs Of War, our latest sponsor! Thank you guys for your help!
If you want to run an and official con game or demo please PM me here ASAP. We have a badge compensation program for people who are dedicated to promoting gaming at the con! If you run for 2 game sessions (8 hours) during the entire con you will have the cost of your badge comped.
If anyone wants to do something game related at the con that is not a game, please contact me. While we are about games, we are not just about games either.
The Warhammer Fantasy and 40K tournaments are on Saturday. Doors open at 9AM and 40K begins at 10. It is highly suggested that you come early to ensure a place. Tournaments will have 32 slots each, and signup will be first come, first serve! We anticipate plenty of room for the tournaments, however we would like to be proven wrong!
To clarify a few points asked, there will be no additional charge for the tournaments! The cost of the tournaments is the cost of the con badge, which is $35.
All the rules an information for the games are here on the forums in the previous Drake Con thread, and on the drakecon.com website forums as well. As always feel free to ask questions.
I would like to encourage anyone who is painting a lot right now to come and join us tomorrow for the panel on miniature painting. We will have pleanty of room and lots of space to set up. There will be several of us there showing off our work and sharing our techniques, as well as giving lessons on how to paint.
We are proud to announce our gaming Guest of Honor, game designer John Wick, creator of Legend Of The Five Rings, and Houses of The Blooded, and many other popular game systems. Come meet with him in the game room or at one of his panels.
