| It isa good to know, well in advance, that BOLScon was dated same as the original Patriot! That being done, I rescheduled Patriot Games. Got with the Cosmo Hotel, and we are a go for the first weekend in June, I believe June 5 and 6. This is well before the Austin event, thus giving all time to playtest those newest toys, as well as taking home over $500 worth of prizes.
June 5 and 6 1850 Points 5 games in 2 days Food and Drink Specials Special Room Rates Cosmopolitan Hotel in Fayetteville

| Perfect for me. Now to decide whether I will bring a new incarnation of the guard, or something else.... You can't start thinking about these sorts of things too early! | |

| It is now official. Patriot 2010 will be a qualifier for the Vegas GT in 2011. We will also be getting a great sponsorship from GW, like 2 new tables!
Also lots of prizes - like $600 worth!
Let's try to get some sponsors

| After talking with some HOW folks, it is nice to see that they will be helping on the setup, and more. Jester has committed to at least 2 tables worth of scenery ( aka terrain) We would like to have as many players for Patriot as we have for Sooiepalooza. I have already had folks from out of state calling me about registration.
This will be the biggest 40K tournament ever held in Arkansas, and as NWA representatives, I hope that we can all show the rest of the country just how great 40K is going in our area. It would be great if 30 or more players in the event were local. I know that we have that many players from the area, and it would be great to have the majority playing in the local event.

| The first of the mass e mails have been sent, and if you didn't receive one, then you aren't on the list, and need to be. This e mail will be sent every 2 weeks for the next month or so, then every week, updating everyone on the status of the event, participants, new rules, and anything that you need to know about Patriot Games.
You can get on the list by dropping me an e mail at
warhammerworld@hotmail.com
Patriot Games is just 110 days away. I know that seems far in the distant future, but it will be here quicker than you think. The Cosmopolitan Hotel is already taking reservations, and we will be taking registrations beginning next week.

| @ LanceLiezure; Good try... that was posted in the wrong thread. That was answering when I would be taking lists for the team tournament. @ wildeyed; you know your taking your guard don't be coy. Looking forward to this and I have been mad modeling and by the end of march I hope to start painting. I'm bringing a new army this year. Also glad to see it on the gt circuit and a 2 day event. One pitcher just wasn't enough now I have a day to sleep on it. | |

| Now that registration has opened, it is time to get down to the brass tacks.
Will there be Comp at Patriot Games?
How will the scenarios be played out, 1 or 2 per round?
Will best General include anything but battle scores?
What will the T Shirt look like?
Will Overlord function properly?
Will anyone have a genuine Tervigon model that looks like a Giant Termagaunt?
Will Jeremy Yates 3peat?

Will there be Comp at Patriot Games? Absolutely not. Comp is for the weak! Let natural selection run its course and step up to the plate with the big stick! - warhammerworld wrote:

I liked the two scenarios to choose from. Added a unique element to the game! - warhammerworld wrote:

Heres how I think things should break down: Overall should take into account all aspects of the hobby. General should be Battle points. Paint - painting Best Sports - Highest sports score and worst battle... its much harder to keep a good face when you are losing than it is when you are winning. Everyone can be happy while they win. - warhammerworld wrote:

Black and Sexy! - warhammerworld wrote:

It depends how you treat overlord. Thou shalt not call it by name, and thall shall not look it directly in the eye. It is a tempermental beast that only looks for a reason to throw a fit or sull up completely and just not respond. - warhammerworld wrote:

I hope not! I hate these things with a passion! - warhammerworld wrote:

I have my fingers crossed! I really am torn on bringing my guard again or the angels! I feel like the guard should be brought out, but I would like to play something different.

| Will there be Comp at Patriot Games? Nah. Impossible to make check list in 40k and opponenet judged is too random. I may think one thing is cheese or good and a newer player may think its fine until it tables them turn 2... Boo Comp! How will the scenarios be played out, 1 or 2 per round? 2 Was neat last year. However it may run smoother with more people and 5 games if there is a standardized mission per round. Will best General include anything but battle scores? Agree with Jerm 100% here What will the T Shirt look like? Anything with a naked sister on a black shirt should do fine! Will Overlord function properly? Works fine for me. Will anyone have a genuine Tervigon model that looks like a Giant Termagaunt? Who cares!? Will Jeremy Yates 3peat? Nah Matt's playing guard this year... If hes nice I'll let him take 2nd though! | |

| You have to be careful about what you say about tervigons. They are may appear large, threatening and hostile, but they are actually very sensitive, emotional and get stressed easy. There's a lot of pressure to not only birth 50 children in a game, but getting them all to behave and brush their teeth before bed is a different story. ...Maybe I am drawing RL parallels, sorry. | |

| Tervies would just as soon eat their kids as make them brush their teeth. | |

| registration is going quite well, as of the end of March. Remember that April 15 is the cutoff for early registration. After that the fee goes to $60. We have the field about 1/2 there.
Comp will be based on 3 criteria
1 Is your army list in on time 2 Is your army list in early 3 Is your army legal
Get lists in by May 15
There are less that 65 days until Patriot!
Get with the program! | |

Get with the program! Someone has pointed out that 2/3rds of your composition scoring have nothing to do with the composition of one's army, correct?

| I see four nid players so far. Good to see strong representation from the "we don't have agendas or care about politics; we're just here for the food" corner. | |
