Hey everyone!

Ford here from Hobbytown to pass along a reminder (or to inform) everyone here that this Saturday November 7th Hobbytown in Bentonville will be hosting the first Turkey Shoot event! A great event for those of you out there who are getting into 40K, or may not be interested or able to get into 40K but would like to play something fun.

For those who don't know what the shoot is, here it is in a nutshell:

Come to Hobbytown on Saturday. Choose and buy a mid-range Warhammer 40,000 armor model (or monster equivalent) at 10:00 AM. From 10:00-2:00 pm assemble and paint your model. At 2:30 we will then play the shoot where you control your newly assembled armored construct (or beastie) through a gauntlet maze of death! There will be objectives to be had and contested with your fellow players! Some objectives may be prizes for you to claim! Some may give you an advantage over your enemies! Some may be traps that look innocent enough, but when picked up may put you in a world of hurt! The one who makes it through, will become the Turkey Shoot Warlord will walk away will claim a Hobbytown Gift Certificate, and their foes laid to waste!

Everything will be run with the current Warhammer 40,000 rules.

UPDATE- If you already have a mid-range armor model that is is not assembled and painted, or one that is assembled yet waiting for some color, you can still participate in The Shoot! There will be a $15 entry free for people who bring in their own models. People who buy a model for the shoot get in for free!

Here are a list of some of the valid models you can run with:

Space Marine Dreadnaught (Imperial or Chaos)
Ork Dreadnaught
Eldar Wraithlord
Imperial Guard Sentanal
Necron Destroyer
Tau Broadside Battlesuit
Eldar War Walker
Tyranid Carnefex

Forge World models, like the Kroot Great Knarloc for example, may be allowed on a case by case basis. Be sure to have rules on hand.

Sorry guys, no tanks, demonic engines, or the like. We'll be putting out the call for them in a future event! Also named characters, daemon princes, and greater daemons will not be allowed. Again we may have an event just for them in the future.

For those of you who are coming in on the fly, there should be a good selection of models available at Hobbytown to choose from.

Also don't forget to bring your paints, glue, and brushes! We will have some on hand in case people don't have anything yet, however if you have supplies, we encourage you to bring them.

If there are further questions, feel free to reply here and I will be more than happy to answer them.
Hope to see you on Saturday guys!
