| Why could GW not have made this type of alliance for WHFB? Instead of making two full armies, allowing us to pick and choose our squads??? Ok - I'm over it now. Thanks for listening to my short anguished cry. | |

| They did that already in 4th edition. You could have 25% of army in allies. | |

| The more I think about this, the more I am excited. It is going to blow the lid off of what is possible with your armies.
It is also a shot in the arm for those old armies people have lying around. Now you can build a smaller auxillary force and use it immediately without having to start a whole new army.
There will be plenty of dirty combos that come out of it as well...

| But I can't just walk in to TSE with a list of 75% lizzies and 25% High Elves. I have to contact my adversary in advance, agree that we are playing SoM or Blood in the Badlands or whatever, and then we start the dice off.
Pick-up game? Maybe. Blind strangers? Nope.
40K? Hi. I'm here to play. Go.
It's the ease and lack of scheduling that makes me jelly of 40K.

| Hey, I play the guys who come in and bring Special characters, nasty builds and basically whatever they want and I don't complain. You want to bring some allies, whatever makes you feel like a real man. Just sayin, bring it and let the whinners figure it out. | |

It's the ease and lack of scheduling that makes me jelly of 40K. I can say, hands down, the idea of being able to plug and play allies into my creaking, aging CSM book brings joy to my frozen powergamer heart. Overnight my army can completely change by throwing in horrors and fiends or a vendetta full of storm troopers. lol Eff GW, i'm going to be broke this year.
