I dont know what book to get to start one of these. Can someone point me in the right direction? On the same note, I really want to start one and will probally be running it out of my house... if anyone is interested.

I found a good guideline, and I think I will pick up a copy of planet strike and run the campaign that way

You might want to wait for the new Battle Missions book. I haven't read it cover to cover but what little I saw looked cool.
