I have yet to learn to play fantasy, but I have my army together. the goal is to have the army painted and a rudimentary understanding of how to play by the time shiloh rolls around

don't Fantasy models go on square bases?

they do indeed, however daemons are all 25mm square bases which is the same width as the 40k standard 25mm disc. i built movement trays that the round bases fit into, and this works even for the flamers since Ares mandated that even skirmishers have one. this way, i can use my daemons for both 40k and fantasy

the larger models are going to be a bit more complicated, but i'm working on designing a few interchangable bases using more masonite and magnets

a little painting update, I'm trying to vary the reds of the bloodletters to give me some variation in the unit, so here's the first two as a test in mechrite and blood red.

the lightning effect on the blades is from a tutorial i found here, swapping blue hues for red

this was the first time I've ever attempted to paint flames, it turned out ok i think. just have to figure out now how to seamlessly tie in the flames with the red of the bloodletters on the flamers of khorne
