| Just purchase the GW terrain.
A good start would be a hill, wood and Arcane Ruins. Don't feel like you need to purchase all at the same time. In the meantime, if you are trying to play at home, you can use books for a hill, cut a woods template out of paper or use a small cloth. Be creative. | |

| The Citadle Battlemat is pretty good for a start. It is durable but does "shed" a little. Just have to sweep/vacuum a little after you are done. Or pick up the corners and the take it outside and shake it out. It isn't a whole lot but I don't want your parents getting upset with the green grass on the floor.
This would be the cheapest way to start, and I believe I have one in the shop. I can order one if I don't.
With this you do like Vermin said: lay down some books in small piles and then lay this on top of it. Walah! A gaming table with hills! | |
