| Week #3
The Weeks Army Setup: 1100 points. Up to 6 troops, and 2 HQ's (you must have 2 troops and an HQ). Additionally, any army may field up to one choice from each of fast, elite, and heavy slots. No vehicles with an armor value greater that 13 is allowed. No 'Special Characters'. No models with 5 or more wounds
Scenario: Take and Search Shamzar
With planet side logistics now established, and as forces continue to rain down on Zerithon Prime, a contingent has been dispatched to Shamzar. Their mission is to locate any survivors, or ascertain the location of the dig which unearthed the strange stones. The village looks strangely devoid of life…
Setup: This weeks scenario will be played on a 6’ x 4’ table. A crude village should be the playing field for this week’s game if possible. One building should be placed in the center of the table. Another four buildings should be placed with one centered in each table quarter. (If buildings are not available, use pieces of area terrain to represent them as rubble). Fill in the table with remaining terrain as applicable.
Special Rule: Any disembarked infantry or beast unit that begins its turn with at least one model touching or in one of the five buildings may search it, for the lone stark raving mad survivor that remains.
Any unit that searches a building may not move, shoot, run or launch assaults on the same turn that they search. However they fight as normal if assaulted. The unit must end its turn still in contact with the building to search it (If charged or it panics it could no longer be in btb and might not be able to finish searching). The dice roll for searching a building is the last thing done in a player turn if the searching unit is still in BTB. When the first building searched, roll a die. On a 1 the survivor is found. When the second building is searched, a 1 or 2 reveals the survivor…… the third, a 1,2 or 3, and etc. If the survivor has not been found by the time the 5th building is searched, it will automatically hold the survivor. Each building may only be searched one time.
Any dice roll of a 6 when searching means the search party has instead found a booby trap. The opponent may take the large blast template and place it over the unit that was searching. Each model touched by the template takes a str 6 AP – hit.
Roll off to determine who will choose choose to go first or second. The player that goes first may choose deployment zone. Deployment zones are 12” deep . Players may seize the initiative.
Playing the Game:
Random Game Length.
Primary Objective (Win/Loss/Tie): Find the Survivor The Winner is the player that finds the survivor. If the survivor is not found the players tie.
Secondary Objective: Use Victory Points and report the amount of Victory Points each army earned in the forum.

| Nope. The game goes on for victory points, even if you find it turn 1. The game is still random turn length meaning you are fighting a minimum of 5 rounds and maybe 6 or 7 as normal. And just like in a normal scenario, if it said kill all your opponents troops choices and you did - the game would not suddenly end. You would finish it out. Remember, now if you table your opponent you get 11.5 points for that. You can only get 10 for a win. At this point and with each two weeks from now on the victory points increase, meaning more tournament points are at stake for the leaderboard. In short, even if your opponent finds the survivor you want to beat on him to get your other points! The trick here is to assault or panic a unit that is going to spend its turn searching a building to keep them from finding any thing | |

| If your opponent finds the survivor but then proceeds to get completely wiped off the table, does he still win or do we go by the standard BRB rules where a Table is a win regardless of objective? | |

| If you find the survivor, you have completed the first objective, and will still get the points for it even if you are tabled. We are calling it a 'win' just for reporting purposes. | |

| BDIX LOSS 335 JDSCHERREY WIN 0
The Tau made some nice moves while da Boyz got bogged down in the terrain. I should have just backed off and gone to ground in the cover, but the Boyz forgot about going to ground. Still the Boyz got the win. Unfortunately their was absolutely no skill involved in that win.
Guess it is good to be lucky sometimes, because the Tau played the better game.
