IRON HANDS, BEIN' DA' COMBAT SPECIALIST 'E IS, WILL BE CHARGING IN FURIOUSLY BEHIND HIM TO CUT ANYONE DOWN. DA' REST OF DA' BOYS WILL BE IN THERE TO FINISH UP DA' JOB.

This Saturday, April 10 @ 5pm we will be having an Elite Throwdown, and it's called: KILL TEAM.

You will have to be familiar with the new Battle Missions Expansion mission Kill Team to be able to play in this weekend's event as it is not your typical 40k game.

A quick rundown: 200 points. Each model is a unit on it's own (even if it was bought as a squad), and operates independently (although is NOT an Independent Character). Multiple shots (i.e. Rapid Fire) CAN be shot at two different units! Assaults are usually 1v1! The boards will be 4x4, and the game will only end when an army is reduced to exactly half its model count or less. At which point, the player will have to take a leadership test at the highest Ld still on the board. If he fails, game over. If he passes, he will take another test (with the Ld of the highest Ld model on the board) at a -1 modifire. If he passes again, the modifier will be -2, and so forth and so on. (Ex. 20 model army loses 15 models. At the beginning of his next turn he must take a leadership test. Ex. 25 model army must lose 13 models before taking a leadership test.)

**VERY IMPORTANT: HOUSE RULES FOR THIS EVENT**
Since this is our first attempt at this type of event. We're gonna add some house rules to hopefully make things more fun and fair for everyone. We're not covering everything, but the Composition score will hopefully fix a lot of that.

1. NO VEHICLES! Armour values seem like they could be a problem. And we don't want to turn Kill Team into Melta-Spam. We want this event to be different from the norm.

2. NO MORE THAN 25 MODELS! Orks can take an almost full mob + nob. That's a full platoon of IG. So, this shouldn't hinder too much. But through playtesting, we have noticed 10-20 model battles are the most fun and fair.

3. THERE IS NO MINIMUM SQUAD LIMIT! If your codex, for example, allows you to add more models for a +## cost, then use that cost. It will NOT be a Sergeant. (For example, Space Marines are 90 points for 5, and you can add another at +16 points. Then if you want to take just ONE Space Marine, he is 16 points.) I do realize this can get broken, I.E. taking 15+ flamers, but that will be covered by composition score.

**REMEMBER: THERE ARE ONLY 16 GUARANTEED SPOTS AVAILABLE TO THIS EVENT! PRE-REG EARLY!

PLAYERS:
All players will be required to have:
-a copy of the rules
-their army's codex
-templates/dice/etc.
-painting NOT required but will be judged!
-FOUR copies of their army lists! (one for us, and one for each opponent) We will not be providing these this time so please be prepared. I wouldn't want anyone to not be able to play because they are not ready! If you have any problem printing the list, you may email it to me BEFORE Friday, March 9, and I will get it ready for you at the cost of $1.

SCENARIOS
All three games will be played based on the rules posted earlier. We will be playing 3 rounds of this.

MISC. RULES:
All battles will give scores of 15 for a win, 10 for a draw, and 5 for a loss. With +5 points for Presentation, +5 points of Composition, and +5 points for Sportsmanship (last three to be tallied at the end of the event)

Presentation Points (chosen by Judge):
+1 if your army includes one conversion
+2 if your army has at least 3 colors painted on it
+2 if your army is well painted army (it looks as if you spent some time painting this army)

Composition Points (chosen by Judge):
-1 if your army has 5 or less models
-2 if your army 5 or more of the same weapon (ex. 5 flamers) Additional -2s for each 5 over the first 5 (this CAN go negative!)
-2 (SUBJECTIVE) if your army doesn't feel much like an elite group of warriors

Sportsmanship Points (choose one):
+0 I did not enjoy playing this opponent
+3 A little grumpy or grumbly, this was still an ok opponent
+5 I really enjoyed playing this opponent

Sweet. Makes me wish I didn't live 3 hours from Conway. Is anyone else here from the Benton/Washington county area wanting to go? Also, is the $5 fee for spectators as well?
