I know this is last minute but I was not aware you guys had a forum. Matt went there for the tournament this past weekend and said he had a great time. I would like to invite all of you to join us tomorrow in Jacksonville for an 1850 tourney. Here is the break down of the tourney:
1850 points - 3 rounds
$15 entry fee
Location: Game Zone Alpha in Jacksonville, Arkansas
Registration will begin at 8am. Tournament will begin at 9:30 sharp.
Prizes will be:
Overall: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Warlord
Best Sportsman (Possibly 2nd place if there is a big enough turnout)
Best Painted (Possibly 2nd place if there is a big enough turnout)
Most balanced list
Please forward (email) your lists to me at warpigs8man@hotmail.com if you have them available. This will speed things up for me when I am doing the Army Composition scoring. NOTE: Once you send your list to me, it will be final. There will be no changes from that point.
Sportsmanship will be 10 points per round of play. 5 points will be on your opponents preparedness and punctuality. the remaining 5 will be on the attitude and sportsmanship of your opponent. DO NOT GIVE BAD SCORES JUST BECAUSE YOU DONT LIKE TO PLAY AGAINST CERTAIN ARMIES.
Bring 5 copies of your army list. 1 for the judges, 1 for each opponent and 1 for yourself.
Overall Scoring will be 60/30/30:
60 Battle Points
30 Sportsmanship Points
30 Army Composition Points
There will be a best painted army award, but the scoring will not be factored into the overall score. Best painted will be a seperate award. If there is enough participation in the overall tournament then I will have a second place for best painted army.
I will also have a surprise award that will be announced at the tournament.
Standard armies and codexes will be used. If it is a current and up to date codex then that is the one that will be in use.
Everyone will start with 30 points in army composition then I will apply the rules based off of the scoring breakdown below. The army composition scoring breakdown is as follows:
-10 Army list is illegible / unreadable
-10 If you do not have copies of the list to hand out to your opponents (will be added later if needed)
-30 If you do not have a list to turn in to the tournament organizer

OR
If you take 50% of your total point cost in elites then you would get -1 for over 20% then and additional -1 for each 5% or part of 5% for a grand total of -7.
