Next year?

I thought that this league improved my overall play more than anything else. Are we going to have one again this spring?

Perhaps. I won't run another free league though. Any league I run will have an entry fee ( probably $5 and prize support) just to make all participants have a vested Interest in the league. What do you guys think?

as I just learned from the malifaux league, though I may be all in, I'm going to be reliant on being able to get rides to wherever games may be going on, not having a car or a bus route makes it real tough to play a pickup match

well, you and i could play downstairs. lol. you can play a league match anywhere.

I think a pay league would be great. Especially if there was prize support, it wouldn't just be playing for playing's sake.

yeah that sounds good. Maybe put some kind of system in where you cant play the same person two weeks ina row or something. I found that I was playing the same people alot of times

Back in Texas, my old league worked like this:

$5 to enter the league. A win was 8 points. A loss was 2 points. A draw was 5.
Playing a new opponent (can only be gotten once per opponent) was 1 point
Playing each week (no added up bonuses. playing 8 out of 8 weeks is 8 total points. playing only 1 week is 1 point) was 1 point.
Each game you played was $1. You can work it out with your opponent as to who pays. Usually, the loser paid.
You could only play 3 matches a week max.
Point values can range from 750-2500.

This system kept money flowing, the game enjoyable, and fair to not make people get so far ahead in points, but favorable to play more games.
