Ork Deff Rolla Question

Battlewagon with Deff Rolla VS Rhino filled with a Space Marine Squad

1. Battlewagon rams the Rhino from 6 inches away. (plus Deff Rolla S10 hits)
2. Rhino suffers a Vehicle Explodes result.
3. Exploding Rhino is replaced with a crater or piece of difficult terrain.
4. Squad is placed in crater or piece of difficult terrain where Rhino was.
5. Battlewagon continues full movement 6 more inches.
6. Battlewagon takes dangerous terrain test (two chances to pass for Deff Rolla)
7. Battlewagon enters crater or piece of difficult terrain and tanks shocks Space Marine Squad. (plus Deff Rolla S10 hits)

I asked this some time ago and this forum said this wasn’t the order. But I reviewed the rules and asked twice on Heresy several months apart and again on DakkaDakka. All answers say this is the order.

Is this correct or incorrect?

If this is incorrect then state specifically where in the rule book that this order is wrong.

That is the correct order. Page 69 (small handbook) last paragraph. The rhino explodes, and the truk keeps moving, thus hitting what was left behind in the explosion.

Sounds fine.

It sounds like the only thing someone might try and argue is the timing. Like, "It doesn't say that I place them before the ramming vehicle moves through," or something along those lines.

That is full covered under pages 61 and 67 of the rule book. Vehicle explodes and in its place you place an area of difficult terrain representing scattered wreckage or a crater (page 61). Surviving passengers are placed where the vehicle used to be and then take a pinning test (page 67).

You have to resolve the explosion results before you can move the battlewagon with deff rolla further and you have to resolve the difficult terrain entry as well.

There should be no question of timing. If you place your troops later then you failed to proceed through the explosion results as dictated in the rule book.

If you want rules as intended then how can you exit a rhino after the fact? The rhino or other vehicle would have been completely destroyed so there is nothing to exit. You cannot exit nothing to show up in a place that has already been ran over....

Like I said, sounds fine. It's just an issue a lot of people seem to get confused on, but it sounds like you're up on the rules.

I'd just be prepared to explain to some sad pandas.
