| I GM'd the intro scenario of this game today and it ran pretty smooth.
There wasn't much role playing, we started a little later than other groups but we had a lot of fun. There was a lot of combat, but I did explain that at the beginning of the scenario. After all, a Deathwatch Kill Team isn't going to politely ask the Tyranids to leave the planet.
This was just to get folks interested in the concept of the game and I am pretty interested.
Fortunately I only killed one character; the assault marine (Fulminata), when he was ambushed by two genestealers at the spaceport.
Opponents are now mostly Hordes of creatures that can do nasty things to a SM when they are large enough.
I am pretty excited about the game, more so than I was with Rogue Trader. I will definitely be buying into it when it comes out.
I have to say that I began losing my voice about 75% of the way through. Someone brought a baby to the shop and it was hard for me to talk over it when it began demanding either liquid sustenance or an aft engine oil filter change.

| I enjoyed the game!
I did spend some time going through the module after I got home, and noticed a couple of things about Hordes that seemed different from the way we were running them. Also, there was a short FAQ on the website that clarified a couple things (and added a couple more pre-gen tactical marines). Overall, I'm liking most of what I'm seeing with Deathwatch.

| In all fairness to the game, I didn't have the time to delve into the rules entirely as I would have liked to nor did I do a practice run with the rules like I should have. I assumed they hadn't posted an FAQ yet. The rules were slightly unclear to me as to how attacks were made. I didn't want to take the time away from actual play to delve into exactly how Hordes worked. I believe I erred on the side of the players.
The sewer explosion made my eyes cross. The time and cost dealing with the cleanup made me preoccupied.
Seriously, the baby crying while we trying to play kinda made me start losing my focus.
I do apologize. | |

| No need to apologize, it was a fun game, just thought you might want to check things out given that I'm pretty sure that wasn't the last time you'll be playing Deathwatch | |

| Most definitely not, not sure when i will get the chance. The group I play with seem to be pretty happy with DH at the moment and I personally dislike magpie-ing various games. I prefer to find a game I like and stick with it for a while. I heard about one group here locally generating characters for three different games in one weekend because the GM couldn't decide which game to play. Also I'm pretty sure when the group I game with decide to do something else it will be something entirely different than a FFG game. | |

| I had a blast. At first I thought playing a devastator would not be that exciting, but blowing the crud out of hordes of traitors is quite enjoyable. I would definitely play this game again if I had a gaming group, but alas I do not. Still might buy the game for the fluff and pretty pictures if nothing else.

| Blowing the snot out of stuff is pretty much what DW will seem to be.
You did great with the Devastator; that heavy bolter is just annihilating. (is that an adjective? Oh well I don't know anglish too well anyway)
