I've been trying to keep myself pretty busy on my yearly three week hobby binge, first up is actually a gift I gave my sister for her birthday... made her a custom settlers board

note the giant awesome robber token

next up, and currently for sale on ebay, I finally finished my grey knight army that I intended to take to IDM oh so long ago

the snow basing was an experience.  some of the terminators that had masonite bases did in fact turn the dreaded "baking soda yellow" overnight, however a second layer of snow on their bases fixed them up just right.

Mordrak

Thawn and his death marker

some painted malifaux models

i didn't really enjoy painting the seamus crew, which unfortunately means that I rushed them (they look like it, so no closeups)... and most of the models are going to need to take a simple green bath and get repainted.

the golem and gamin were an interesting process, basically I started with a white base, and a black wash to shade.  then i used an extremely watered down blue paint to build up the color, layer by layer

Von Schill's Freikorps + Strongarm

i'm a big fan of the strong arm model.  I'm glad wyrd is starting to experiment with multipart kits (in this case, just an alternate set of legs).  I really like the look of the crouching set, makes me think he just landed from jumping off a nearby building or something, and is about to beat face

the firebomb brigade, aka witchhunters

this is a holdover from 1.5, when you could never have too many witchlings

this is a little pic heavy

i got quite a few of the malifaux proxies cut out (i have many more drawn and ready to go than cut, I make them when i can get machine time)

first up is the Lady J box

i had to use the alt justice pose for ease of design/assembly (this was the second set i did after ramos) which is why two of the death marshals have similar but not matching poses too.  now that i've had some practice I may revisit them

here's a comparison between proxy and real deal  (the judge and a death marshal)

the judge's left shoulder needs to be adjusted, but otherwise i think it's a fair likeness

next up were some ressurectionists

the good dr, mcmourning

nicodem the undertaker... there's a junk ton of mindless zombies because i wasn't sure how many would be needed

and a close up of nico

for the neverborn, pandora's box set

the viktorias and crew

c. hoffman, this is one of the more solid sets designwise

and a closeup of hoffman

some outcast blisters... front row:  ronin, back:  hans & convict gunslinger

guild blisters: austringer, executioner, and exorcist

another guild blister, the riflemen

ressurectionist blisters:  bete noir and the zombie chihuahua  (  i only made the totem because the canine remains came out tiny)

rounding out the 1.5 models, the ortegas.

i've also made seamus and rasputina, but i gave them to my siblings for christmas.  if i find some pictures i'll put em up

back in september cheated fates radio hosted a contest, asking for submissions of proxies for tara and her crew, since she only has the nightmare edition models.  granted, i didn't hear about it until late december because i always listen to my podcasts 2-3 months late.  however, they hadn't announced a winner so i went ahead and sumbmitted anyway.

this was my submission.  it was also the first time I realized that things that aren't the standard 32mm tall need to be scaled up quite a bit in comparison.  just look at that tiny nothingbeast, he's puny.

i went ahead and scaled him up by a factor of 2x... note that the new model is on the exact same base as the old (for comparison's sake)

I love everything about this. I really want one of those catan boards. Are you going to do commissions for them?
