| I have been looking forward to this trip for quite some time now. Haven't had the opportunity to go one of these events yet and I am glad I have been given the chance to go to this one.
Hopefully I can get some pictures of the new Necrons and other projects they have going on. And of course pass along any juicy tidbits of info I am able to find out as well.
It seems kind of fitting that the Games Day model is a Skaven Warlord. Looking forward to using him to muster my troops.

| Ok, so the only things I got out of the folks at Games Day was that they renewed Lord of the Rings for 4 more years and to expect at least 2 books out of the Hobbit. First one will most likely be scenarios and the second will be an expansion for War of the Ring centered on the Battle of Five Armies.
When anyone asked anything about the Necrons or Ogres, they clammed up other than admitting they were the next armies due out respectively. So whatever rumors you hear, take them with grain of salt. I was around those guys for about an hour and a half and didn't catch anything. So unless they were talking in code to someone, nothing was said. No codexes to preview, no new models to see for either army unfortunately. Some Forge World ogres and Chaos Dwarves were there for viewing, of which I will post pictures when I figure out how.
THQ was there previewing the new Space Marine game which looks BA I must admit. If you pre-order the collector's edition it enters you into a chance to win some cool prizes.
Couldn't really take pictures of the Golden Daemon stuff as it was behind glass that was scratched to hell. Very disappointing, but you can see the winners in the next White Dwarf. Did a few pics of the Armies on Parade entries and the 40k vehicle conversion contest. Not sure the pictures of the Ork Biplane do it justice. It was HUGE! Again, pics to follow when I figure out how to.

Goes along with gws crack down. As for LoTR, really? I guess GW is looking to continue a terrible investment from both a money and interest building stand point.

| Don't think I didn't see that picture that was mostly of a girl and barely any 40k minis in it. Sly. | |

| I went to take the picture and noticed the girl in costume. She took the time to dress up, figured she wouldn't mind a picture.
But yeah, 40k minis in the pic?
Seriously though, my point and shoot camera didn't really do justice to those displays. They were awesome!
The only thing I didn't get a picture of was the great cannon they were shooting streamers out of. They had a couple of guys moving around a safety cone and when it was your turn to shoot the cannon you had to guess the range. Also before every event started, you had to yell "WAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!!!!!" as long and as loud as you could. I think we should do this before every tournament starts just to get everyone pumped up and really into. It was a lot of fun.
