| I am looking for some Storm Shields for my Black Reach Terminators. I have found these hammers from Max Mini to use - But I do not like the shields that they have to go with them - I have looked at online bits sellers but the cheapest I could find was about $8 a pair for Hammer and Shield - at that price I would just buy a whole box of Assault Terminators. Does anyone know of a sharp looking bit that I can order to use for Storm Shields that won't break the bank? | |

| Everyone should be Slamanders fans... The only Space Marines I really like, y'know besides the Chaos variety... | |

| Has anyone else seen those "Steam Knights Helmets" at maxmini? Those look like they'd be perfect for pre-heresy space marines (or steampunk space marines; cuz' I have a bit of a weakness for steampunk) Have any of you vet gamers ever used maxmini stuff? Is it any good? | |

| I haven't ordered from them yet, but its only a matter of time. The quality of their doo-dads continues to increase and I my curiosity and interest continues to grow, in turn. This usually equates to me spending dollars sooner or later. | |

| Here's a review by Pacific, and here are a couple more pictures of assault troopers done with them.
I'm not too sure about them myself. The Mk2 and Mk3 ones look good, and maybe also the smoothed down one, but the other two look a tad guff. They seem to tall and make the marine look like he has a giraffe neck... I think I'll have to pick a pack up, then decide whether it is worth it for just the three heads.

| Thanks for the the advice and links guys! Nice to see other people like this kind of stuff too. I find that when I'm alone in an opinion it's usually means it's time for my pills. I agree with the giraffe neck thing, but for this kind of steampunk theme... I think I'm willing to put up with some scale issues. I don't think 28mm heroic is supposed to be particularly accurate anyway. Can't wait to see those pics Big D; but when you said you ordered some, do you mean the maxmini stuff or the chapterhouse stuff? I guess I'll find out when you post the pics. | |

| Personally I like the chapter house stuff. As soon as I settle into my next unit, hopefully in the next week or so... I plan on buying a good number of their products. Especially the Salamanders Chaplain. He'd make a gread Dragon Warrior convert for my Chaos warband. | |

| I actually ordered from both. I ended up with the max mini hammers and the winged shield from Chapterhouse. I kind of wish I was doing Salamanders since they have such slick stuff for them.
I ordered from both a while back but max mini is over seas and chapter house had the shields on back order - I did order qutie a few to be fair to em though.
